Dysport may not be right for you if: you have surgical changes to your face, very weak muscles in the treatment area, your face looks very different from side to side, the injection site is inflamed, you have droopy eyelids or sagging eyelid folds, deep facial scars, thick oily skin, or if your wrinkles can’t be smoothed by spreading them apart.

Botox Cosmetic helps prevent expression-related wrinkles and can reduce existing wrinkles by paralyzing the muscles that cause the wrinkles. While approved for frown lines, a physician can also inject Botox into other areas of the face to treat crow’s feet and other expression-related lines.
Hyperhidrosis is severe sweating, to the point where it can cause emotional distress and social withdrawal. A Botox injection into the skin where the excess sweating occurs is one of several treatments available.
How it Works
A small dose of Botox is injected into the affected muscle. The medication binds to the nerve endings and blocks the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes muscles to contract or move. When the acetylcholine is blocked, the muscle does not receive the signal to contract, and is temporarily paralyzed. The effects can take from three to seve days to appear after an injection and usually last from three to four months.
However, the protein is used in cosmetic medicine to treat moderate to severe brow furrow (glabellar lines), uncontrolled blinking, lazy eye, wrinkles, and facial creases. These procedures use a small amount of diluted botulinum toxin that enables controlled weakening of muscles.
Radiesse is a synthetic injectable filler that has been approved by the FDA to reduce moderate to severe wrinkles, folds and creases by stimulating the natural production of collagen in the skin. This product is made of microspheres composed of calcium hydroxylapatite within a water-based gel and is made from minerals similar to what makes up our bones. Radiesse can be injected directly into the skin with no need for pre-testing.
Radiesse is most effective in reducing the appearance of smile lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and other wrinkles around the nose and mouth. The results of this procedure are visible immediately after the injection and can last for up to a year or even longer. With continued treatment, patients will require fewer and fewer injections. Radiesse can also be used to perform cheek augmentation, fill hollow cheeks and acne scars.
Perlane is an FDA-approved dermal filler for implantation into the skin for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds. Perlane is generated by a Streptococcus species of bacteria.
JUVÉDERM™ Ultra Plus injectable gel is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and to act as a cushioning agent.
Restylane is an FDA-approved dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid that restores volume to the skin, lifting and smoothing out wrinkles and other fine lines. This procedure is most commonly used to treat the glabellar lines (between the forehead) and the nasolabial folds. It can also be used to add volume and shape to the lips.
Since Restylane is made from a natural substance found in the body, no pre-testing is required. Restylane produces results that last for several months through its unique ability to bind with water and remain in the skin. The results of this procedure are visible right away, and can last for several months, depending on the condition of the individual patient’s skin.
